Good Friday

Hi Everyone, I hope your doing well today, I'm doing good. On this Good Friday I am reflecting on what this day meant to me growing up. I was raised with the Catholic religion, attended a Catholic school. This was a very somber day every year, I remember stopping for a moment of silence at 3 in the afternoon, and I would think of this supreme being, named Jesus, who gave his life for us. Looking back now I realize that this day and all of the Catholic practices is just what I needed growing up. It gave me a sense of security that I was missing when my Mom would get sick and have to go away, it gave me a conscious and instilled in me right from wrong. And even though as I grew, I grew away from this religion, it was the beginning of my spirituality. I have carried with me what I have needed from it's teachings and left the rest. Most importantly, I do my best to live by their golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". So even though I use to complain that I had to go to church and attend the Catholic school, today I'm thankful that my parents started me off with this religion. I am a better person for it. I use to have the album Jesus Christ Superstar so I thought I would share a couple of my favorite songs from it. I'm pretty sure Day by Day was on there?? Ya, I know I'm showing my age LOL! If not it was one I liked in my Catholic years and still do today :) This is the first time I have seen the videos of the songs too, pretty good performances from the movies. I hope you enjoy them,
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Love ya,
Janet :)
