Falling Free

Hello, Happy Music Monday! Today I downloaded the new album MDNA by Madonna. This track is already a favorite of mine. A beautiful sounding ballad that will move you.
Enjoy!
Janet :)

This is funny, I watch Dr. Drew
just about every night. Check out
his show sometime if you're looking
for answers to human behavior!

When I move a certain way
I feel an ache I’d kept at bay
A hairline break that’s taking hold
A metal that I thought was gold

And pure so sure I’d struck a vein
I wanted you to feel the same
So when you did ignite a spark
Rescue me from all this dark

See our hearts are intertwined
Then I’m free, free of mine
I’m falling free

And see our hearts are intertwined
And then I’m free, I’m free of mine
Deep and pure our hearts align
And then I’m free, I’m free of mine

When I raise a certain wing
And crawl beneath that growing thing
It throws a shadow over time
And keeps yours falling next to mine

Your days were meant to fly and do
I fall and fold mine into you
And what you take is just enough
And what you give is what I love

And when you lift you raise the sail
And then I’m free, free to fail
I’m falling free

Deep and pure our hearts align
And then I’m free, I’m free of mine
When I let loose the need to know
Then we’re both free, we’re free to go

When I lose a certain claim
That tries to know and needs to blame
Whatever river runs aground
It turns my head and washes down

The face of God that stands above
Pouring over Hope and Love
That all of might, and life, and limb
Could turn around and love again

When I let loose the need to know
Then we’re both free, free to go
I’m falling free

I’m falling
I’m falling
I’m falling free

Deep and pure our hearts align
And then I’m free, I’m free of mine
When I let loose the need to know
Then we’re both free, we’re free to go

Sing My Sisters

Hello, In honor of International Womens Day today I wanted to post about this live event for IWD 2013. There are so many organizations taking part in this event that you can find a cause for women to support, either by donating or signiging a petition or even participating in one of the many events planned for next year. Even if you just share this information through any form of social media, you can help make a big difference in the lives of so many women and children. On days when I begin to feel sorry for my circumstances, not having a job, not being able to drive, I start to think of these women who live in certain parts of the world. Some of them have to walk so many miles just to feed their child some peanut butter milk. I think of the freedoms I have that they don't, and it instantly snaps me out of my own stuff! I think of how lucky I am to live where I do, have what I have, my problems are pale in comparison to some of the other women's issues around the world. So today I am thinking of all the women who have gone on before me and paved the way for a better life for me, my daughter and granddaughter, through sacrifices, be them known or unknown, and I am truly grateful! In the future, when I do get a job I will donate some money to one of these causes, and when I can drive next year, I would like to participate in the event of crossing the bridge that they had here in Boston today. Until then it makes me feel good to in some way, let my voice be heard through this blog!

Janet :)

Women’s Day Live will be a truly epic event, one so powerful that it will be talked about for decades. People will look back at this day and point out with pride that this was the definitive moment when the tide shifted and the world truly opened up to the cause of women and girls empowerment planet wide. At Live8, the most momentous global media event to date captured our hope and optimism and rallied the world to fight against poverty and lobbied the G8 leaders to make promises on debt relief, AIDS drugs, trade tariffs and education.

NOW is a defining moment for the world to carry through on its promises.

As things stand now, there is little chance of reaching the Millennium Development Goals, for ending world poverty and reaching gender equality by 2015. But change can be lightning fast: Witness the fall of the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall. Become a member of the great generation that had the power to create a better future for the women and children of the world - and did so.

Women's Day Live will be a true testament to the will of humanity, and to the power of music to inspire global action.

Clearly the opportunity is here and the time historic.

Our Mission is to launch a ground-breaking humanitarian campaign to ignite a global movement to make poverty history by empowering women and girls with education and economic opportunity. This multi media benefit platform will generate tens of millions of online sign-ups and actions, raising hundreds of millions of dollars, towards achieving this goal. We will mobilize people worldwide to spark historic new levels of investment in women’s funds to help accelerate the social and economic empowerment of women and girls.

Annie Lennox & Madonna Sing!

Give Me All Your Luvin

Hello, Happy Friday! As if this weekend wasn't going to be exciting enough for me, with The Patriots playing in the Superbowl, but my favorite singer is also going to be preforming what is rumored to be an amazing half time show, as she is collaborating with a team from Cirque du Soleil. It is just going to be a great Sunday for sure! Today she released her new song and video "Give Me All Your Luvin" from her 12th studio album MDNA. It usually takes me a little while to get use to her new music, as she is always changing sounds, but this song is catchy, fun and upbeat, so I'm liking it already. The video is fun too with a football theme, to obviously sync with this weekend. The only thing I didn't care for in the song and video is that she collaborated with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. I know she does these collaborations to stay current with the younger fans, which is smart on her part because it has helped to keep her going strong all these years, but IMO she could have carried this soon to be hit off just fine on her own. Maybe I'm just showing my age too cause I don't really know those two women either lol! If your a fan of Madonna as well I thought you might enjoy her news conferences from yesterday in Indy. She opens up about her fears performing this weekend and shows us her sense of humor as she channels Victor Cruz of the New York Giants with a salsa dance. Go Pat's, I really think this year they are going to take home the big trophy! I hope all of you have a great weekend as well.

Mix The Bourgeoisie And The Rebels

Hello, Happy Music Monday! I am excited that Madonna will be doing the half time show at this years Superbowl. Hopefully I will also be watching my favorite football team The Patriots as well. I will get to watch the Patriots live on Christmas Eve because Christa and Dana got Pete and I tickets to the game that day as a Christmas gift, Love it! I have seen Madonna live 3 times and she is amazing. So I'm sure the half time show is going to be, especially with the help of the Cirque du Soleil performers. She can sing live while doing deep knee bends, oh ya, in her late 40's and early 50's, never mind just dance! Brittany and most of the girls half her age have to lip sync while they perform. So for this Music Monday I chose her Music performance from the Drowned World Tour to celebrate her upcoming Super Bowl performance. I still have the confetti she dropped at the end of this song, along with the ticket as a memento from the show :) She has earned the title of Queen in my opinion. Imagine how boring Pop Music would have been the past 28 years without her. I'm glad she has pushed the envelope and opened doors for women where no one else had the courage to do so. That is what I admire the most about her. I hope she keeps going as long as she can and may her music continue to mix the bourgeoisie and the rebels!
Thanks for visiting,
Janet :)

48 Yrs Of Traveling

Hello Everyone, I hope your doing well. I'm doing pretty good :) Today as I turn 48 yrs young, yes young, I refuse to use the awful "old" word, I have been doing a little reflecting, you know, thinking about my whole life so far. I'm sure most of you do that too from time to time. And as I have reflected, I can honestly say, I'm happy with all of it. It has not always been an easy life, but easy doesn't make you grow. The obstacles and challenges have only made me a better person. I'm now at peace with the past and I've learned to stop looking in the rear view mirror, because all that really does is make you crash. I have truly forgiven myself for all the times I've traveled down the wrong road. And oh how those roads seemed to have countless bumps, twists and turns (trust me when I tell you that LOL!) Sometimes those roads also had big red flags and signs that I was somehow blinded to. But for the grace of someone looking out for me up there and an always loving and supportive family, I have been able to pick up the pieces and start over. I have finally dumped a lot of the baggage that I have held onto for way too long, and it feels so good walking around with a lighter load. With all this progress I can now, with a clearer heart and mind, chose the right roads, see the signs. I know my best years are right here, right now and I look forward to what's ahead for me. Hopefully I will have another 48 yrs to keep traveling down this wonderful, beautiful road of life. I made this video with a song that I love. It's a spiritual song about life's journey. I hope it inspires you the way it inspires me.

Do You Like To?

Boogie Woogie? Go With The Flo?, Dance and Sing? Well then, this is the song and video to help you get up and do your thing!! Hi Everyone, I'm trying to motivate you too this Music Monday :) This is a great song to walk or workout to! C'mon now it's easier than you think to walk or do some kind of physical exercise for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Even if you just Dance, you'll begin to feel and look better! And we all know when you look good, you feel good, right? right! I have a shelf in front of my treadmill that I put my laptop on and I watch Music Videos when I walk. Most of them are Madonna videos, because it keeps me motivated to look as good as her when I hit 50! I don't want fat and cellulite taking over my body, no way, no thank you! So get started if you've been thinking about it, once you do it get's easier and easier. And remember it is never to late to be what you might have been! I heard that saying yesterday and it is so true, you can always begin a new you at anytime in your life, don't sit and think about what you could have done, or could be doing, you can still accomplish anything you put your mind to, at any age :)

Don't Tell Me

Hi Everyone, Happy Saturday! I am missing Mad TV on Saturday Nights so I thought I would share some of their classic videos from Youtube. They have also canceled the Wanda Sykes show on Saturday Nights, bummer!! But at least I still have SNL to look forward too, even though that is either a hit or miss sometimes. I'm throwing in a good song to kick your heels up too as well. I hope you enjoy a couple of laughs and a little dance for yourselves today :)

"Alright, Here We Go!"

Ray Of Light Edited

Hi Everyone, Hope all is well with you. This is how I'm feeling today! Feeling like a ray of light, full of positive energy, because I think I have finally beaten my worst addiction, cigarettes! It's been two weeks and I feel better every day, I have tried to quit before, quite a few times, and have always gone back, but this time it feels different. I have not bought a pack of cigarettes like I use to to have in case I need one,(and I love all the money I am saving!) I actually feel more calm without them, that has never happened before LOL! But I think most of all I feel like I am just starting my life over and I want to live as long as possible, especially for my kids and grand kids, and feel good while doing it! Each year it seems my universe has gone by more quickly! I'm going to do my best to carry this feeling with me every day to help me keep winning my battles. So I wish for you today that you focus on the positive in some aspect of your life, and pass on that energy to those around you, be a ray of light for others, only good can come from being positive!
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Love ya,
Janet :)

And I FEEL!!

Zephyr in the sky at night I wonder
Do my tears of mourning sink beneath the sun
She's got herself a universe gone quickly
For the call of thunder threatens everyone

And I feel like I just got home
And I feel

Faster than the speeding light she's flying
Trying to remember where it all began
She's got herself a little piece of heaven
Waiting for the time when Earth shall be as one

Quicker than a ray of light
Then gone for
Someone else shall be there
Through the endless years

She's got herself a universe
And I feel
And I feel like I just got home

Quicker than a ray of light she's flying
Quicker than a ray of light I'm flying!!

Had a great sleepover this weekend,
with the kids, it's so much fun being Mimi!

Spanky Time

Hi Everyone, I hope your all doing well, Today I begin 26 weeks of what the Court calls Aftercare at Highpoints Outpatient Program! Which is really 26 weeks of hopping on a bus for Plymouth Center, about 8 weeks of walking in the slushy sidewalks, while I enjoy a nice cold breeze from the waterfront, sitting in a class for an hour and a half hearing the same ol, same ol, that I have already heard many, many times before! I know I deserve it, its all my fault, Yada, Yada, Yada, but at the same time how much punishment does one need? I get it already, I do! My life has already turned into the movie Groundhog Day! I just live in this house liked a trapped rat with no license and I still have 6 months to go of it, Urrrgh! But Thank God Pete's good enough to roll down the window in the car for me when we go out so I can hang my head out like a dog! Anyway, I just needed to find some humor, where there really is none, so I don't go completely insane. And on the bright side I do have something to do once a week Ya! So here's to Spanky Time for me and any of you who deserve it too LOL! Thanks for reading my vent! Enjoy :)

47 Years Strong

Hi Everyone, How are you? Today I am Celebrating being 47 yrs strong, that's right, not feelin 47 yrs OLD here, no, no!! As I shared with Em (My Counselor) the other day, I'm done with beating myself up about my mistakes, I have moved on from them. The baseball bat is back in the closet, Ahh bye, bye bat!! Everyday I am a new me, growing and loving myself more and everyone around me like never before. All I want to do today is Dance and Celebrate my life, and what better way to do that then with music from my Idol!! So please join me and Celebrate your life too with a little Boogie Woogie LOL! This may seem long but once you get into it, there is no stopping! Thank you Mom and Dad for giving me life, I will feel your spirit even more so today.
Thank you for visiting my blog,
Love ya,
Janet :)

Great to workout with too!

Nothing Fails

Hello, How are ya? I am doing great today. 24 yrs ago today I married the best friend I have ever had. I remember it like yesterday, there we were at the JP in Quincy Ma and all of us were more than willing to rush through the ceremony because the red sox's were in the world series, shot gun for sure LOL! It's funny too that I wound up getting married on my little brothers birthday because when we were little we swore we would get married so we would never have to be apart. I was very protective of him, and how we cried when we found out we could not marry each other!! Although we have been together for 27 yrs I truly love him more today than I did back then. The first time I saw him I said to my girlfriends, oh ya, I think I'd like to marry him, I'd never get sick of looking at him LOL! So shallow of me huh! But if you had seen him in just a leather vest with a golden tan and the curly hair and bright blue eyes, I think most of you ladies would understand :) I chose this song to make this video with because so far we have not failed, especially after the past year, if that didn't do us in I don't know what could. I believe in the power of words that you speak too, so for the rest of my life I will speak these two simple words. Marriage in itself is a spiritual journey, a sweet one at that. And if it was not for his strength, love and support right now I don't think I would even bother to get out of bed in the morning. He is carrying me through life right now and if a day comes that his strength is not what it should be, I will carry him. With no job or unemployment any more, this is my gift to him, the best gifts of all, from the heart. All of My Love to You Pete, and Thank you, Thank you :)

Thanks for visiting my blog,

Love ya,

Janet :)

Little Star

Hi Everyone, On this Music Monday I would like to share this song by Madonna. It reminds me of Christa. From the day she was born and everyday since then she has breathed new life into my broken heart. One thing that stood out to me when I have seen her in concert is how beautifully she can sing live. I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for visiting my blog,

Friday Funnies

Hi Everyone, Happy Friday!! I started thinking of Dana Carvey this week when I was looking for funny videos. I was lucky enough to find this classic SNL one with Sean Penn when he was still married to Madonna LMAO!! Loved it then too :) Dana is one the best for sure. Enjoy,

Let Them Go

Hi Everyone, How are ya, I am doing good. I found this song that is a Demo which did not make it on an album, same as Like A Flower song. They always get leaked out through Limewire or Youtube. I find these words in the song to be very inspirational to me as I try to live my life this way today. Not to judge another as I don't like to be judged and let go of what I can't control. None of us like to give up that control, but in the long run we will be happier if we just accept what is and not try to make life something it is not. I hope this video and song inspires you today. I made the size of the video a little bigger than usual so you can enjoy the pictures better, it is really good when you view it on full screen. There are lyrics to the music, it just starts a little bit into the video so, Enjoy!

Have a Great Day,

Thanks for visiting my blog,

Love ya,

Janet :)

The song can be found using

the title Revenge or

Fighting Spirit

There is no such thing as revenge

You will not give as good as you got

There is no such thing as an eye for an eye

If you think you're the giver, you're not

There is no such thing as regret

There is no point in placing the blame

Hate destroys the one who hates

And everyone suffers the same

What you see

Is not necessarily what you get

Eyes are the window to the soul

Take your judgements

And let them go

There is only love and respect

To thine own self be true

When you point the finger,

There are three fingers pointing back at you

What you see

Is not necessarily what you get

Eyes are the window to the soul

Take your judgements

And let them go

Let them go

Let them go

Let them go

Recognize that God is alive in everyone

Recognize that love lives in us all

What you see

Is not necessarily what you get

Eyes are the window to the soul

Take your judgements

And let them go

Let them go

Let them go

Let them go

What you see

Is not necessarily what you get

Eyes are the window to the soul

Take your judgements

And let them go

Let them go

Let them go

Mer Girl and Sky Fits Heaven

Hi Everyone,

How are ya?, I am doing great today. I finished my taxes, now I can apply for financial aid and get back to school, can't wait. I want to do a class online with Harvard to start. When I decided to post those Madonna video's in my last post, I came across some others of hers that I love and I wanted to share this with all of you. I have to have music in my life everyday,it pumps me up especially when I am walking or working out. And as you know I love Madonna, she has inspired me to be the brave son of a Bitch that I am and to go after what I want in my life. That is mostly a good thing, sometimes not LOL! On my last day of college I listened to ray of light over and over because I was so feeling proud that I a accomplished my goal. Not that it has done much for me till this point but it will after I get my Masters Degree. Today I was reminded why I want to care for the elderly so much. An elderly women asked me where did Starbucks move to? I said it is still there. She said well I am pretty much blind. So I said I would walk her over. When we got there I said so now are you going buy me a cup of coffee for my services LOL! She got a kick out of me saying that and she said she would love to buy me a cup. To bad I had to go to work I would have loved to sit and chat with her until her bus came. They all remind me of my mom, and how precious and fragile each moment is in the end of their lives. I will fight for all seniors because they deserve nothing less. This one was from the Drowned World Tour that I had third row seats in. She does a great kick ass scene. Don't watch if you are weak of heart because in the background at the end she shows herself self abused and almost enjoying it, something I know all about especially when my mother was sick and dying and I could do nothing to save her, we were so bonded I guess I had to suffer along with her or I was doing something wrong. I choose not to do that now though. She sings about her mother's death process as if she is living it too. At the end she uses a gun to shoot some loser. But of course society got all worked up about it. Seriously it is all just in good fun. I have been developing good habits and healthy addictions. I started taking vitamins and fish oil so I don't get my Dad's health issues. I could live off Panera's Chicken Ceaser Salads, they are the best. Now that the dust has settled around me and my nerves are not shot I can get back to quitting smoking, I really want to, I am getting sick of it. On Sunday I hit the 3 mile mark during my walks, feeling good and it keeps getting better :) Now that I said that I am going to have to go watch Christina Aguilera's Keeps Getting Better Video! I get to watch Bri today, Christa has to go to the registry because Dana's car was t boned the other morning coming here to go to work up by the mall. All's he wanted to do was get out of the car and beat the living shit out of the stupid guy who hit him, but he couldn't get out of the car right away. That guy was lucky he couldn't We were lucky he wasn't killed, Thanks for protecting him Wendy. All Bri keeps saying is Daddy's car has a boo, boo and he can't fix it LOL! I might get a chance this summer to meet up with my blogging friend Robin Easton, she is flying in from Australia to do a book signing in New York. I would love to get together with her in real life. She inspires me so much, and I have never been to New York and the best part is I get to go away by myself for the first time ever. I know I will love it there. If any of my friends want to join me just let me know. This summer is getting better and better all the time. Another beautiful walk along the waterfront tonight, I can't help but smile the whole time. Date night cancelled due to asshole disease. I know I will be on my own someday soon. Nice for two days then back to asshole. I can't live this way. I think I'll save my sexy little black dress for someone else who will appreciate it and deserves to see the leather underneath LMAO!!

Hope you enjoy the video,

Have a great day,

Love ya,

Janet :)

I ran to the forest, I ran to the trees

I ran and I ran, I was looking for me

I ran and I ran, I'm still running away

For you Mom I know you felt the same too

about losing your mother at two years old.

I know I feel the same even though I had you

for 71 yrs.

Barter for Garter

Jump Off

Hi Everyone,
How are ya, good I'm sure:) Within a weeks time I got 9 more followers, thank you to all of my followers I appreciate it. Every time I drive back and forth to Christa's house I start that thinking thing again. I remember when I got pregnant with Christa all my friends told me don't have the baby, your to much of a free spirit, you like to come and go whenever. But because of my Catholic upbringing I chose life. It was one of the best choices I have ever made. She has saved me from myself many times. I feel that free spirit reemerging in me now. Sometimes I don't want to stop driving, I just want to jump off to a new place, spread my wings and fly, breakaway. It's not that I am unhappy. In fact Pete has been so loving to me lately everyday that I feel like I am in heaven, and it is like we are newlyweds on our honeymoon. But I never had those years to do what I wanted and find myself. Now that I want that here I am stuck in that rut of taking care of every one's wants and needs in my life and not that I mind it so much but I want my own place in the world and my independence, by that I mean my own Career, and having the ones that depend on me be more self sufficient. I sacrificed my own needs and wants for everyone elses and today it hurts that I am not where I wanted to be in life at my age. I especially deserve me time after holding both of my mother's hands as they passed from this world into another one. I feel I have earned that freedom from what is expected of me. I deserve to be me on my terms and not everyone else wants from me. I have always been rebellious against society, it puts expectations on us that we have to live up too whether or not we want to or are able too. Sometimes I just want to drive till I can get a plane, go back to Aruba and sit under a palm tree and have me time with 90,000 of my friends. Every time life has dropped me down like the limbs on a tree it makes me a tougher son of a bitch and more determined. I have no fear of being alone like I did when I was in my 20's. It is true that youth is wasted on the young. This video is for all my sister's that feel the same way. I have seen Madonna a few times in concert, once in the third row, it was one of the best nights I ever had. I told Christa she could come with me if she wore her famous cones LOL! With every one of her songs it is like she reaches into my heart and sings about what I am feeling. She is the bomb in my book, and I appreciate all the eye candy LOL! I have lived some of her songs for example, Promise To Try, I felt that abandonment every time my mother drove off in an ambulance because she was sick and needed a rest as they told me for most of my life. Papa Don't Preach, from the catholic outfit to depending on my Father for most of my care and then having to tell him I let him down by getting pregnant. When my sister got pregnant at 17 my father said to me don't try anything until your 20 yrs old LOL! And wouldn't you know it, at 20 after taking one chance I got pregnant. I am sure most of you can relate to this feeling of getting away from the daily rut. I found out at work that you can take yoga classes at the local Y for 5 bucks a class. Good deal I am going to check them out. Yoga will help me escape the daily rut as well. It is so good for your mind and body. I would also like to be in the same shape as Madonna as well when I am 51 years young. To Andy my co worker who is his late 60's or early 70's that just went back to school this weekend to make a change in his life. You have inspired me even more to follow my dreams of getting a Master's Degree. You demonstrate that it is never to late to chase your dreams, so thank you Andy and good luck!!
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Have a great day,
Take Care,
Janet :)

Celebration Madonna

Hi Everyone, I hope you are doing well, I am doing good. Madonna has released a new CD that is a greatest hits but also remixes of the greatest hits. This is a new song she put on the CD. The song has a great sound and of course at 51 she is still strutting her stuff and kicking it. Great dance moves in the video. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Take Care,
Janet :)
